The Dartmouth Rowing program's success is a result of the incredible investments made by our alumni, parents and friends on an annual basis. Your gifts to the Friends make possible two annual training trips, team apparel and equipment, and greater recruiting opportunities. These dollars create a vibrancy in the Boathouse for our student-athletes and ensure the future growth of our programs.

Rowing Equipment Fund

In addition to Friends of Rowing, we also offer another giving opportunity, the Rowing Equipment Fund. Dartmouth's fleet of boats, trucks and trailers is the result of the generosity of individuals and groups of people. These gifts can be made for specific projects, which change on an annual basis. "Friends support allows us to take the program on two extended training trips down south, providing critical opportunities to stay in touch with the water during the long winter months in Hanover. It has also given me the flexibility to update our shell fleet and land training equipment in ways that we feel most benefit our student-athletes and their overall competitiveness on the national stage."

—Wyatt Allen, Betsy and Mark Gates 1959 Head Coach of Men's Heavyweight Rowing

“Friends support allows us to take advantage of cutting edge technology and equipment both on and off the water. This enables our student-athletes to maximize their efforts in training and in competition to be on par with the top programs in the country.”

—Wendy Bordeau, Head Coach of Women’s Rowing

"Friend's support allows us to have a rowing program, full stop.  Every stroke taken has alumni and friend's gifts behind it.  The best impact of this support is the thought it generates in the minds of the current undergrads that the Dartmouth rowing experience is valued by so many."

—Dan Roock, Head Coach of Men's Lightweight Rowing
